Congratulations! You have successfully completed the reindeer paper bag puppet craft. It’s a quick and simple activity that guarantees lots of fun for everyone. If you’re feeling extra creative, you can first glue kraft paper onto the brown paper bag for a more polished look. However, this step is optional, and the craft can be enjoyed without it, especially if you are working with younger kids who are less concerned about appearances.

If you’re planning to do this craft with a group of kids in a school, daycare, or library storytime setting, we recommend using the second version of the template. It organizes the pieces by colored paper, making it more efficient to trace and cut them out. This way, you won’t have to trace the template multiple times, saving you time and effort.

No matter where you decide to create this craft, we guarantee that kids will love making and playing with their very own reindeer puppet. It’s a delightful Christmas-themed activity that brings joy and creativity to the holiday season.

Puppet Template Notes

The free printable download includes two versions of the template to accommodate different crafting situations. The first version features all the pieces on one page, making it ideal for individual craft sessions with 1-2 kids. Simply print it on white cardstock, cut out the pieces, and you’re ready to go!

For older children, they can trace the template pieces onto corresponding colored paper. Younger children may require the template to be traced onto the different colored papers before commencing the craft.

If you’re planning a group activity, opt for the second version of the template, which organizes the pieces by color. Each page contains a single item category (e.g., all noses, all antlers), reducing the need for retracing and expediting the preparation process.

Regardless of the crafting environment, we’re confident that kids will thoroughly enjoy every step of this delightful reindeer puppet craft.
