Why Make Frog Crafts for Kids?

Kids love animals! And while elephants, lions, and deer might be something they talk about all the time, they love small and cute animals equally. This includes cats, dogs, birds, and of course, frogs.

I’ll also create crafts for other animals, but I decided to start with this easy frog craft. Just recently, I made a free template for a frog life cycle, which was a hit among parents and teachers. Therefore, I decided to make something related to it, and this paper frog craft seemed like a fun craft activity.

So, why should you make fun frog crafts for kids? You see, kids are very intelligent, and when they get to work, they make sure they do it to the best of their abilities. And indulging them in arts and crafts activities is a great way to keep them busy and let their imagination go wild!

Plus, these adorable frog help develop fine motor skills and improve hand-eye coordination. But that’s not all! When kids work with different materials, they learn about colors and textures they never knew about. And that’s precisely what makes this perfect preschool frog paper craft about!

How to Make this Easy Peasy Frog Craft?

This is one of my favorite frog crafts, as it is easy and fun to make. You don’t need out-of-this-world supplies to create it; most of them are readily available at home. For instance, we need paper plates to make the frog’s face and eyes. For the frog’s eyes detailing, we’ll use black colored paper; however, you can also glue googly eyes to make it so much fun.

Next, it’s time to cover the paper plate with green construction paper or paint to give the frog’s body a green shade. Use fuzzy wires or pipe cleaners to outline the frog’s mouth and make the tongue.

The additional detailing depends on how creative you can get. For instance, if you’re making little speckled frogs, you can draw specks using a black marker. Or if you’re making a red-eyed tree frog, you can use red paper to dot the eyes. You can also use green or white paper to make the frog legs.
